Flirting 101!
Flirting is a good-natured way to get to know someone who has piqued your interest. Let’s say you are at a party and there is someone there you would like to meet. So you begin to flirt. In the dictionary, one meaning for flirt is to “play at love”. So when flirting be sure to smile and use your eyes to convey your interest. This is a great way to find out if this someone is also interested. If you get a response in return, go and introduce yourself. Once you have made the introductions, body language and your witty personality will help you get to know this person better.
Wit, not sarcasm, is a very attractive trait. Leaning in to talk to him and listening to what he is saying are excellent ways to hold the interest of this person. Is He/She Flirting with You?
Not everyone is good at reading body language or subtle verbal cues, which can make it difficult to tell if someone is flirting with you or not. While everyone has their own flirting style, there are several flirting signals that are pretty standard. For instance, if a man or woman is making eye contact far more than is necessary, or even going so far as to wink at you, they’re most likely flirting.
Another flirting signal is smiling frequently or suggestively. Light touches, such as touching his or her hand to your elbow or shoulder, are also a common flirtation device. Flattery, teasing, banter, and “chance” encounters are all indicators that he or she may have a romantic interest in you.
